MARCH 11~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: STICKS AND STONES

MARCH 11~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: STICKS AND STONES

Proverbs 25:11 “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.”

Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.  Although we said these words as kids to protect our feelings, they are not true.  Words can hurt you to your bones, even kill you mentally and spiritually.  But a word fitly spoken can strengthen, uplift, encourage, and brighten one’s day.  Kind words are like honey, sweet to the soul and health to the bones.

MARCH 10~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: GOD IS GREAT AND GREATLY TO BE PRAISED

MARCH 10~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: GOD IS GREAT AND GREATLY TO BE PRAISED

2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

As followers of Christ, we should shew forth His praises at all times. Our God is great! Lift up our hands, lift up our voices, praise Him through a song and even in a dance. When we look over our lives, we are able to see God’s blessings. The fact of the matter is that Jesus is worthy and praise is due to Him!

MARCH 9~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: HOW WE SHOULD SHEW PRAISES

MARCH 9~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: HOW WE SHOULD SHEW PRAISES

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 “And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”

Psalms 150:6 says, “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.” How do we shew forth His praises? We should line up our thoughts, conversations, and actions with the will of God by living a holy and sacrificed life. We are to be faithful servants of God, the church, and work. The Lord should be first in all aspects of life.

MARCH 8~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: YOU MAY NOT SEE IT FIRST, BUT KEEP TRUSTING GOD!

MARCH 8~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: YOU MAY NOT SEE IT FIRST, BUT KEEP TRUSTING GOD!

Philippians 3:9 “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:”

Faith without works is dead; Ephesians 3:16-17 says that, “He will grant you, according to the riches of his glory and that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith.”  In my past, I went through some things I was not sure about.  Learning to trust and believe God at His word, I started to have faith and believe that He would deliver me from it all, and he did.  Even though I could not see it at first, I see it now.  Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen!

MARCH 7~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: I’VE BEEN MADE ANEW!

MARCH 7~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: I’VE BEEN MADE ANEW!

Colossians 3:9: “Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;”

Who I was yesterday does not mandate who I will be today if I have decided to repent and leave my sins behind.  When we are converted, we embark upon a daily journey to shed our sinful nature and SHOW THE WORLD that the Holy Ghost rules OUR LIVES.  This intentional removal of personal attitudes, thoughts, and behaviors that displease and misrepresent Christ SHOWS THE LORD that He is a priority in OUR LIVES.  As we yield to the chastening of the Spirit, the Lord SHOWS US ourselves and challenges us to change the direction of OUR LIVES.  Detaching ourselves from living lies and from our old ways brings glory to God and makes us new.

MARCH 6~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: LET’S JUST BE NICE!

MARCH 6~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  LET’S JUST BE NICE!

Ephesians 4:32 “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Ephesians 4:32 reminds us that we are to be kind one to another, tender hearted, and forgiving, even as God has forgiven us. I often say “it’s just nice to be nice!” So today, smile at someone, pray for someone, encourage someone, call someone and extend forgiveness or even challenge your flesh and ask for forgiveness!! Your warm smile or encouraging message could be the one word that your brother or sister needs to hear just to make it through the day! God will encourage YOU as you ENCOURAGE others.

MARCH 5~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY

MARCH 5~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY

Proverbs 21:3 “To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.”

We are to make righteous decisions and present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto Him.  Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.  This means not to follow after the dictates of this world.  The sacrifice is to not follow after ungodliness, but after righteousness, which is acceptable unto Him.

MARCH 4~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  LORD, HOW CAN I SERVE TODAY?

MARCH 4~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  LORD, HOW CAN I SERVE TODAY?
Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Our daily question in response to Romans 12:2 should be to the Lord, “What is my godly duty today so that You get the glory?” We should not focus on our needs, possessions and the things of this world.  God created all people and all things, therefore He gets the glory, honor and praise.  Are you focusing on the goals for Christ or focusing on the pleasures of this world? Choose Christ!

MARCH 3~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  WHAT LOVE-THE RECONCILIATION

MARCH 3~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  WHAT LOVE-THE RECONCILIATION

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Have you ever done something that you knew was so wrong, a price certainly had to be paid?  I know we all have, but OH what LOVE Jesus has for us.  He came down from His throne, dressed Himself in flesh and blood, took our place, and paid our debt.  God, who knew no sin made himself sin for us, just to redeem us back to himself and now are we the righteousness of God in him.  Thanks be unto God for his reconciling LOVE!

MARCH 2~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  EVEN WHEN TIMES ARE TURBULENT, NEVER FORGET!

MARCH 2~TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  EVEN WHEN TIMES ARE TURBULENT, NEVER FORGET!

Psalm 103:1-2 “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”

Life as we once knew it has literally been shifted right before our eyes:  from our society, to the economy, to politics, to our health, even within our families.  Although we as members of the Body of Christ have seen and faced many of the same challenges that the world has, they haven’t affected us the way it has for many of them.  Some of us lost jobs during these times, but have yet to miss a meal or go without necessities.  He’s given His people a great testimony in these times and even through turbulence, God still is for me.
