April 10 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT: KEEPING THE CHARGE AND GLORIFYING GOD

April 10 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT: KEEPING THE CHARGE AND GLORIFYING GOD

Romans 8:2 “ For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

In this life, we must hold to God’s powerful hand as we serve Him.  Let us remain prayerful and faithful to carry out the work of the Lord for which we have been called.  Jesus Christ came to redeem us all from sin.  May we in turn serve and trust Him with all of our hearts.

April 9 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST

April 9 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT: BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST

John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

Joel’s prophecy in Joel 2:28 was fulfilled in Acts 2 thousands of years ago, the scripture is still fulfilling itself as men, women, and children are being filled with the Holy Ghost and walking in the newness of life today.  The outpouring of the Spirit of Truth, (the Holy Ghost) not only saves the soul of sinners but it also restores the believer.  As believers, we should desire a continuous outpouring of the Spirit within us for every encounter with the Spirit changes us and shows us the truth about ourselves.  It shines a light in the darkest places of our hearts and reveals the hidden things, enabling us to overcome the flesh.  We can then be ready when Jesus returns.

April 8 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT: THE COMFORTER HAS COME

April 8 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  THE COMFORTER HAS COME

John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”

After His crucifixion, Jesus Christ left us a Comforter. On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Ghost was given to those who gladly received.  This Comforter now helps us as saints live a holy, sanctified life.  This Comforter brings peace and joy even during times of chaos and tribulation and it remains with us even unto this very day and is still being poured out among people within the Earth.  It is available to all people, all races, rich, poor, young, and old; we thank God that there is still time to receive the Holy Ghost for those seeking a personal experience with this amazing Comforter.

April 7 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT: THE SPIRIT THAT GUIDES US

April 7 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  THE SPIRIT THAT GUIDES US

John 15:26 “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:”

The Spirit of truth will lead and guide you into everything you need to know in this life.  God knows His people and His sheep know His voice.  Saints, the Comforter guides us through both the good and the bad as He is our complete truth. Let us seek more from the Ultimate Comforter, Saints, because His truth surpasses all understanding.

April 6 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  GOD FREELY GAVE

April 6 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  GOD FREELY GAVE

John 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

In all we do and say, it is the Word of the Lord that will remain.  God gave Himself so that we may have eternal life.  We can’t earn it nor do we deserve it.  But GOD, He is Love and He is the Life.

April 5 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  SO GLAD I AM NOT ALONE

April 5 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  SO GLAD I AM NOT ALONE

John 16:7 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

It is so hard to see loved ones leave and never to return.  But when Jesus departed, He didn’t just leave us alone; He sent us a comforter.  Thank God I (you/we) don’t have to be alone.  Why, because He dwells in us.

April 4 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT: IT’S NOT AN OPTION

April 4 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT: IT’S NOT AN OPTION

John 3:5 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

God gave us the will by which we make our own choices and decisions.  God gave abundantly clear instructions on how we enter His Kingdom.  Amid all the many options we face, renewed birth by Water and Spirit, is not one of those options.  Let’s be obedient to God’s Word so that we receive the blessed promises of God.

April 3 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT: THE WIND OF HIS SPIRIT

April 3 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  THE WIND OF HIS SPIRIT

John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”

The Hebrew word for the Spirit is ruach, translated “the intimate breath of God,” and the Greek is pneuma, “the wind of His Spirit.”  Birth from above cannot be manipulated or programmed; it is a gift given in God’s own way and time, an act of sovereign grace.  It is a birth as mysterious as the wind, which comes and goes as it wishes; unseen, yet it is very real! Jesus has used a common, earthly reality to illuminate spiritual truth.  He has spoken of birth, then water, and now wind; this breath of God brings life with a fresh wind and it’s according to His gracious purpose.

April 2 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT: HE WON’T DENY YOU

April 2 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  HE WON’T DENY YOU

Luke 11:13 “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

We all know that the gift of the Holy Ghost comes from God and it is the greatest gift we could ever receive.  There is no need to worry if God would give us this gift because He said He would pour out His Spirit upon all flesh.  If people in the world who are sinful or evil can give good gifts, then the Lord will surely fill those with His Spirit (the BEST gift) who ask Him.  You won’t be denied; just ask Him!  He’s ready and willing give it!

April 1 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  IF YOU BELIEVE, YOU CAN HAVE IT

April 1 WHEN THE SPIRIT WAS POURED OUT:  IF YOU BELIEVE, YOU CAN HAVE IT

Joel 2:28 “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:”

Joel prophesied these words some 800 years prior to it coming to pass.  He was declaring and speaking to us about the Holy Ghost and how it would be poured out.  “All flesh” doesn’t mean everyone has the Spirit of God.  But it does mean everyone who wants the Spirit of God can get it; everyone that believeth can have it.  You just have to do what God says to do in order to receive it.
