Oct 27 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  ANTICIPATING THE LORD’S RETURN

Oct 27 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  ANTICIPATING THE LORD’S RETURN

Colossians 3:2-3 “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.”

As you are in Christ, stay with Him and seek those things that are above.  There is nothing in the world, but sin and damnation.  We are seeking life eternal with Christ.  We are in the world, but no more of this world.  We are seeking to go back with Him when He returns.

Oct 26 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  LIFE EXPECTATIONS WITH JESUS CHRIST

Oct 26 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  LIFE EXPECTATIONS WITH JESUS CHRIST

Lamentations 3:22-23 “It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning:  great is  thy faithfulness.”

Life has certainly changed since we took on Christ.  We are now recipients of true peace, love, and deliverance through the Lord Jesus.  As His children, the Lord provides new mercy and grace that takes us through our day.  He helps us endure all for He is All in All, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).  Take time today to share, through your testimony, the blessings that this new life has to offer that it may encourage both the sinner and the saint to want more of God.

Oct 25 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  WEAPONS THAT WORK EVERYTIME

Oct 25 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  WEAPONS THAT WORK EVERYTIME

Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world:  but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

As we go through life, we must not revert to the sinful ways of the flesh to solve our problems or ease our pain. Though life gets difficult, the Holy Ghost when we allow it to work in us, transforms us so that we don’t seek revenge or pursue old habits for consolation.  We choose now to go to God in prayer; we fast and we study His Word.  We have and use these new, infallible weapons that work every time.  As saints of God, let’s go through life with praise and prayer rather than with violence, vengeance, and other sinful weapons the world offers.

Oct 24 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  KEEP BUILDING

Oct 24 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  KEEP BUILDING

I Corinthians 9:24 “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

This spiritual race that we are in is never a smooth stretch; things have the tendency to become rough and bumpy.  But Jude 20 admonishes us to build ourselves up on our most holy faith.  Regardless of the bumps and rough places, KEEP BUILDING!   Just as David encouraged himself in the Lord his God, we have the same power to keep ourselves refreshed in the HOLY GHOST. It’s an individual marathon!

Oct 23 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  WILL IT BE ETERNAL LIFE OR ETERNAL DEATH?  CHOOSE WISELY.

Oct 23 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  WILL IT BE ETERNAL LIFE OR ETERNAL DEATH?  CHOOSE WISELY.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

After being born again of water and of the Spirit, it is necessary for the believer to allow the Holy Ghost to teach one how to make choices according to the Word of God.  The enemy has methods, patterns, strategies, and plans to rehire the child of God. Beware for the highest salary that Satan pays is death – spiritual death which separates one from God. The gift of God which is the Holy Ghost comes to lead and guide into all truth.  Allow the Word of God to show the way to eternal life.

Oct 22 THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  OUR NEW LIFE WILL NEVER GET OLD

Oct 22 THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  OUR NEW LIFE WILL NEVER GET OLD

Romans 6:22 “ But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.”

When we were set free from sin, we obtained a new and everlasting life after receiving the precious gift of the Holy Ghost.  Though we get tired, weak, weary, and worn in our bodies and spirits, the new life in Christ is our refresher and our pick-me-up!  The Holy Ghost never loses its power!  It is the refreshing power of this new life.  Renew your spirit daily and always enjoy the refreshing power of this new life!

Oct 21 THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  FREEDOM FOREVER IN CHRIST

Oct 21 THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  FREEDOM FOREVER IN CHRIST

Romans 6:18 “Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”

Once we are free in Christ, it remains an everlasting freedom as we remain in Him.  Although the 13th Amendment was established in 1865 to abolish slavery in the United States, there still was a need to implement civil rights.  The Civil Rights Act of 1964 established freedom and equality for all and prohibited discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin.  We are still seeking this equality as a society today.  But the finished work of Jesus Christ has made it possible to remain free without the need to fight again for that freedom as long as we stay in Him.

Oct 20 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  GLORIFYING GOD’S GOODNESS

Oct 20 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  GLORIFYING GOD’S GOODNESS

Romans 6:17 “But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.”

In today’s times, social media and the worldly things around us portray a sinful lifestyle as  acceptable. Pornography, homosexuality, and drug abuse are glorified on television and through music daily. We, as saints of God, have to remember that obedience to the Lord and His Word is our key to salvation.  We must not become consumed by sinful habits being glorified in society.  Instead, glorify the goodness of God in the presence of society and show them the benefits of a sanctified life- a life that never gets old.

Oct 19 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  PRACTICING SIN IS NOT AN OPTION FOR THE CHILD OF GOD

Oct 19 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  PRACTICING SIN IS NOT AN OPTION FOR THE CHILD OF GOD

Romans 6:15 “What then?  Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace?  God forbid.”

Adam’s sin caused all men (humankind) to be born with a fallen (sin) nature, separating man from God.  Grace has been extended to man through both the precious blood of Jesus and the new birth experience.  Man now has the privilege to be partakers of our Lord and Savior’s divine nature (II Peter 1:4).  Because of this God-given extention of grace to us and the renewing of our minds, we should not pursue the old fallen nature but God’s divine nature.  Let us strive toward spiritual perfection (maturity) and not draw back to the practices of sin (Hebrews 6:1, 10:38-39).

Oct 18 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  LIVING UNDER GOD’S GRACE

Oct 18 ~ THE NEW LIFE SHOULD NEVER GET OLD:  LIVING UNDER GOD’S GRACE

Romans 6:14 “ What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”

We are living in turbulent times.  This year of 2020 has shown us that only by God’s grace are we surviving this year of uncertainty.  We as saints, are protected from the dangers of this world by God’s grace. Sin is no longer our master for we are no longer subject to the law of sin which enslaves us to sin. We are now restored, revived, and repurposed for God’s master plan.
