July 29 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  WE HAVE THE COURAGE

July 29 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  WE HAVE THE COURAGE

Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee?  Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:  for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

We have no reason to fear!  The Lord has commanded us to be strong and of good courage.  We have faith in Jesus over fear!  This day, we will overcome whatever rises against us for the Lord is with us.

July 28 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  FEARING GOD IN THESE TROUBLED TIMES

July 28 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  FEARING GOD IN THESE TROUBLED TIMES

Matthew 10:28 “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:  but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

We do not know what is about to happen in these last days.  But the Bible warns us that it isn’t going to get any better in this sin-sick world.  Yet, I want to encourage you, as the people of God, to keep the faith and continue to stand on the Word of God in these perilous times.  Remember to fear God, the Creator of the universe for He alone holds life, death, and the soul of man in his hands.  Keep holding on to His unchanging hand, for one day we shall be like Him who defeated both death and hell!

July 27 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  TRUST IN GOD’S GRACE

July 27 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  TRUST IN GOD’S GRACE

Psalm 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:  for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

In Hebrew, the word “rod” is authority over all dominions and powers.  “Staff” is a stick to lean on, to rest upon and to find peace.  “Comfort” means to give strength.  Jesus is the Shepherd who is guiding, protecting, and keeping me in peace as I journey through life.  Therefore I have no reason to fear in these uncertain times.

July 26 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR ~ A WARRANTY THAT NEVER EXPIRES

July 26 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR ~ A WARRANTY THAT NEVER EXPIRES

Isaiah 43:1 “But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not:  for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”

God, our Inventor, Creator, and Assembler issued an everlasting warranty to ensure that the owner will have full use of product regardless of what happens in the future.  Though we as born-again believers are the owners of these products (mind, body, soul), we still belong to God.  For He declared in His Word, “I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”  We can trust that He is always ruling and abiding, protecting, and repairing defects to our product.  Because of this everlasting Warranty (Jesus Christ), we have guaranteed victory over anything and there is no need to fear because the Warranty covers everything.

July 25 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  FEAR OF UNCERTAINTY

July 25 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  FEAR OF UNCERTAINTY

Romans 8:15 “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”

The fear of the unknown has gripped the hearts of so many during this time of uncertainty.  Yet, we as saints of God do not have to be slaves to this fear as others.  We have a Savior whose Spirit lives inside of us. I encourage you today, brothers and sisters, to keep your trust in the hands of the One who already knows the beginning and the end.  He is “Abba Father,” our Peace, the very God that does not fail and will not let us fall.

July 24 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

July 24 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

Proverbs 3:24 “When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid:  yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.”

How many times have we heard the statement, “It is my God-given right” and never stopped to think about its meaning? As saints of the most high God, we have the God-given right NOT to be plagued by the enemy, but we exercise the right to both walk in peace and to rest when we lay down to sleep.  There was a time when I struggled with anxiety, unable to sleep at night because I was being tormented in my mind night after night.  But one day, the Lord reminded me to stand up for my rights!  I admonish you today to do the same:  take back from the enemy your God-given right to walk in peace as a child of God.

July 23 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  SURROUNDED BUT NOT CONSUMED

July 23 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  SURROUNDED BUT NOT CONSUMED

Psalm 27:3 “Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear:  though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.”

I can remember years ago, when I was under relentless attacks from the enemy.  My children were acting unruly, ex-husband was verbally abusive, coworkers were disrespectful to me, and my own health challenges kept me in and out of the hospital.  I was surrounded by trouble, yet the Lord kept my heart and I thank Him!  Be encouraged today for the Lord is on your side, forever lifting and upholding you.  You have no reason to fear for that which surrounds you will not consume you!

July 22 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  I AIN’T SCARED

July 22 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  I AIN’T SCARED

Mark 6:50 “For they all saw him, and were troubled.  And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer:  it is I; be not afraid.”

Here, Jesus shows again to his disciples, that He is the miracle worker and that He has all power as he walked upon the water; yet they feared. God wants us to trust Him (Psalms 27:1) and He will always be there (Matthew 28:20).  We cannot allow what we see happening around us to bring fear into our hearts. He is our strength.  Don’t give up, don’t buckle under, don’t fear, but look to Jesus.

July 21 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  FAITH OR FEAR ~ MY CHOICE IS FAITH

July 21 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR:  FAITH OR FEAR ~ MY CHOICE IS FAITH

Psalm 56:4 “In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.”

As I entered the state of Alabama, returning home from an out-of-town trip one day, I noticed a sign informing all those entering the state that the COVID-19 count had soared to record heights.  Psalm 56:4 says, “In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.”  The thought entered my mind, “It is not who you are or where you live but to whom you belong.”  Today, let’s take comfort in the fact that we belong to God and He remains in control.

July 20 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR ~ WALK WITH GOD, NOT WITH FEAR

July 20 ~ I HAVE NO REASON TO FEAR ~ WALK WITH GOD, NOT WITH FEAR

Matthew 8:26 “And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?  Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.”

I can remember a time when I had to walk home at night by myself.  Although I was afraid, if I had just one friend to walk with me, I would be okay.  Now that I am saved, I have no reason to fear because Jesus walks with me everyday.  Saints, when trouble comes and fear wants to grip you as it did the disciples on the boat, remind yourself that Jesus is walking with you.  Have faith in knowing that God is able to do far above what we can ask or think and has all power to bring calm to any stormy situation.
