March 31 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  NOT WITH NEON LIGHTS

March 31 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: NOT WITH NEON LIGHTS

1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

Because Israel was God’s chosen people, He could have taken them directly into the promised land.  But, He wanted to work some things out of Israel.  God wants to get the maximum benefit out of our lives. When God calls us out and tells us who we are, He doesn’t call us into a cult of isolation.  But, He wants us to be among the world to show the world how to live.  Not with flashing neon lights do we advertise how to live as saints, but with holy living and the words of our testimony do our lights shine bright.

March 30 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES: HIS PRAISE SHALL CONTINUALLY BE IN MY MOUTH

March 30 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  HIS PRAISE SHALL CONTINUALLY BE IN MY MOUTH

Psalm 27:6 “And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.”

It is an honor to serve the Lord, first and foremost, because He is worthy.  It fills my heart with gladness to think about all the Lord Jesus has done over two thousand years ago and He is still performing miracles, signs, and words.  He filled me, healed me, and set me free. Yes, He is worthy.

March 29 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  SPIRITUAL CONFESSONS

March 29 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  SPIRITUAL CONFESSONS

I John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

If we do not confess our sins, we will become spiritually sick which can lead to death.  But, if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  As difficult as the pandemic has been, it is still not the problem.  The problem is the prevalence of sin in our land.  Let’s put sin our of our lives.  This gives God the freedom to come in and heal both our hearts and our land.

March 28 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  LIVING LIFE FULL

March 28 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  LIVING LIFE FULL

Psalm 51:15 “O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.”

In the preceding versus, David expresses his unworthiness of God’s goodness.  David also recognized there was nothing he could ever do to earn God’s goodness.  Even now, you may feel like David because of your past, present, and future. Everyday, God makes choice of you and because He makes choice of you, you can live your life to the fullest knowing He fills in all the empty spaces.  With the life you now live, you can honor His choice of you by showing forth His praises everyday and in every way.

March 27 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  IT’S MORE THAN WORDS

March 27 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  IT’S MORE THAN WORDS

1 Peter 2:9 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

Obedience to God is the key to shew forth praises to Him.  You cannot please God when you walk in disobedience. God requires that our outward expressions of praise be extensions of obedient hearts toward Him.  Today, as we lift our hands and open our mouths in praise and thanksgiving, let the lives we live before God speak louder than the words we offer Him.

March 26 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  THE SECRETS TO A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP

March 26 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  THE SECRETS TO A GOOD NIGHT’S SLEEP

I Peter 3:16 “Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.”

I always remember, as a small boy growing up in the country, my mother saying, “Do it with kindness” when responding to criticism.  She would always remind me and my siblings daily that it’s not what you say but how you say it.  Say it where there is no remorse; say it where you will show love; say it where God gets the victory.  So, be mindful of the words you speak and keep peace in the middle of confusion.  The way to a good night’s sleep is to keep a good conscience and a spiritual conversation.

March 25 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  NOT FULFILLING THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH

March 25 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  NOT FULFILLING THE DESIRES OF THE FLESH

Romans 13:14 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”

Though we may experience times of weakness, Jesus was sent to show us that it is possible to live a saved, clean life.  We have to fight everyday to not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  With the help of Jesus, we can make it by staying in the Word of God along with fasting, prayer, and the guidance of the Holy Ghost.  Saints, don’t stop fighting and don’t give up because our reward is closer than you think.

March 24 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST

March 24 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST

I John 2:15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.”

The Greek meaning of “shew forth praises” is to send a message of God’s excellences.  We as believers are witnesses to the world, an image of Christ to share His message of salvation.  I John 2:15 tells us to not love the things of the world; not referring to the people, but the sinful ways of the world.  In order to shew forth His praises, we must turn away from the dark worldly ways and be the light that shines bright in us which is Jesus Christ.  So saints, let’s be God’s mouthpiece and boldly proclaim to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord and He is here to save.

March 23 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  STANDING ON HIS PROMISES

March 23 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  STANDING ON HIS PROMISES

I Peter 3:15 “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts:  and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”

We must be confident in God and boldly profess our trust in the Lord.  We must know without a shadow of a doubt that our Father is able to do all that He promised He would do.  It is our job as Christians to witness to our brothers, sisters, and the world about the goodness and salvation of the Lord.

March 22 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  SHOW OFF

March 22 ~ TO SHEW FORTH HIS PRAISES:  SHOW OFF

Romans 12:1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

We were created to praise God and shew forth His praises by living a life that is totally committed, completely, totally, and pleasing unto God.  No, life is not easy but because of the favor of God, we can accomplish great things which will bring glory unto Him.  To shew means to present what is good and pleasing unto the Lord.  Reasonable means fair, sensible, sound judgment.  When we give ourselves unto the Lord, it’s just sound, sensible, and definitely sound judgment.
