June 9 ~ PERFECT PEACE: DWELL

Psalm 37:10-11 ~ “For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be:  yea thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.  But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.”

PERFECT PEACE: DWELL

As believers in Christ Jesus, we must trust in the Lord despite the actions of evildoers.  Though it may seem like they are prospering, they will soon be cut down.  When our minds are focused on the Lord, we have this comfort and hope that He will keep, preserve, and sustain us with His peace.

June 8 ~ PERFECT PEACE: HAVING SAFETY IN GOD

Psalm 4:8 ~ “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep:  for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.”

PERFECT PEACE: HAVING SAFETY IN GOD

David knew that his safety was in God and that God would forever keep and protect him from all harm and danger.  Knowing this, David was able to sleep peacefully without having any worries.  In today’s society, we are faced with so many obstacles.  We must continue to have confidence in God by reading His Word and praying daily; he will keep us in his safety.  Starting today, let us rest and have peaceful days and nights with this assurance-God is in control

June 7 ~ PERFECT PEACE: FROM FRUSTRATION TO PEACE

Romans 12:18 ~ “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.”

PERFECT PEACE: FROM FRUSTRATION TO PEACE

One of the effects of bickering with others is that they will socially distance themselves from you.  This separation becomes a recipe for misery and loneliness.  Learn to live a life that is known for your kind words.  Your words can change someone’s environment and mindset, adding sunshine to their day.  Challenge yourself today to live peaceably with all men by giving a word of encouragement that provides peace and hope.

June 6 ~ PERFECT PEACE: MAINTAINING MY FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

Colossians 3:15 ~ “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”

PERFECT PEACE: MAINTAINING MY FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

Peace is a fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22), an attribute given only by God to His people (John 14:27).  The peace that God gives is not only for us to possess but also to show the world how we can face calamities and still be victorious.  We may have experienced first hand the loss of a family member or loss of a job during this world wide pandemic.  But through our faith in God and His Word, we can remain steadfast knowing that everything will be alright.

June 5 ~ PERFECT PEACE: DIVINE PEACE IN TIMES OF DISTRESS

Philippians 4:6-7 ~ “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

PERFECT PEACE: DIVINE PEACE IN TIMES OF DISTRESS

Isn’t it amazing how in times of our greatest distress, our heavenly Father grants us divine peace and sweet rest? During times of grief, sickness, divorce, or unemployment, others may wonder how our spirit remains at peace. Oftentimes, I have faced worries and challenges in my life in which others would worry on my behalf and wonder how I could remain so calm. However, I have learned from personal experience that God-given “shalom” peace is supernatural and it transcends natural emotion.  If we can maintain a strong prayer life, meditate on the Word of God, and keep our minds stayed on Christ, He will keep us in a state of divine, CONTINUOUS PEACE that remains priceless.

June 4 ~ PERFECT PEACE: DWELLING IN THE LORD’S PEACE

John 16:33 ~ “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.  In the world ye shall have tribulation:  but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

PERFECT PEACE: DWELLING IN THE LORD’S PEACE

The Lord mentally prepared His disciples for a time when He would not be physically present with them.  And though absent in body, Jesus assured them that He would always be with them no matter what they faced.  In this season of isolation, be reminded, people of God, that we are in Jesus. Since He is the Prince of Peace and we are in Him, we literally dwell in peace!  Even when we face tribulation in the world, we can maintain our peace because He has already overcome the world.

June 3 ~ PERFECT PEACE: GOD GIVES US HIS PEACE

John 14:27 ~ “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:  not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

PERFECT PEACE: GOD GIVES US HIS PEACE

Jesus informs His disciples that He was bequeathing a gift to them that would guard their hearts and minds from trouble and fear.  He expresses that this gift was indeed HIS peace and explains it was not like the peace that the world has to offer, but would be a shield for their hearts and minds, much like a squad of soldiers protecting a town.  What an amazing gift our Lord and Savior gave to His disciples and now to us as His children!   We have a peace that protects our hearts and minds from being overwhelmed with any fears, any doubts, or any worries.  When we encounter tests, trials, or storms, we can be strong and courageous, allowing His peace to saturate our hearts and minds.

June 2 ~ PERFECT PEACE: LET GOD FIGHT FOR YOU

Proverbs 16:7 ~ “When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.”

PERFECT PEACE: LET GOD FIGHT FOR YOU

The key to pleasing the Lord is to keep His commandments and trust in His Word.  When you trust in His Word and obey him, He backs you up and makes your enemies be at peace with you.  I want to challenge you to let God fight for you.  Don’t use your words to retaliate or to be condescending.  As you walk in a new found peace today, believe God to put your enemies at peace with you.

                                                                                                                                                      Darlene Allen

June 1 ~ PERFECT PEACE: HOW TO BUILD THE PERFECT PEACE

Isaiah 26:3 ~ “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:  because he trusteth in thee.”

PERFECT PEACE: HOW TO BUILD THE PERFECT PEACE

Every saint of God has the ability to have perfect peace.  The key to perfect peace is to get and then hold fast to a mind that stays on the Lord.  A mind that just comes across the Lord every now and then is subject to fear and anxiety.  Be encouraged today to build the maximum relationship with God through prayer.  Watch God provide a peace that exceeds your understanding.
