Sept 27 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  DAILY SURVIVAL

Sept 27 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  DAILY SURVIVAL

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”

Imagine waking up one morning to begin working from home and your computer has no service.  After investigating the situation, you discover that your internet service is disconnected.  This poses a problem because the source of provision for you and your family has now been cut off.  For your daily survival, I encourage you today to stay plugged in to the true power source-God, our Provider.  Check your connections every morning when you wake up by praying to God, asking Him for guidance, and reading or quoting a Bible verse.

Sept 26 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  SPIRITUALLY CHARGED

Sept 26 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  SPIRITUALLY CHARGED

Psalm 91:1 “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Stay connected to the power source, our God Almighty, by not compromising.  Stay connected to God by being a prayer warrior.  Stay connected to God by having a relationship with Him and abiding in Him.  Stay plugged in through prayer, fasting, Bible study, and fellowship.  Stay under His protection; let God be your rescue from danger.

SEPT 25 STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  DON’T LOSE YOUR CONNECTION TO GOD, HE IS OUR POWER SOURCE

SEPT 25 STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  DON’T LOSE YOUR CONNECTION TO GOD, HE IS OUR POWER SOURCE

Matt 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”

When we are filled with the power of the Holy Ghost, there are things we must do to stay connected to God: fast, pray, and read the Word. Most of us have electric appliances in our homes. If there is no electricity, the appliances are useless. As saints of God, fasting, praying, and reading the Word are a must, to stay connected to Him. God is our source of power; don’t get disconnected!

Sept 24 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  CROSS AND THE CROWN

Sept 24 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  CROSS AND THE CROWN

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

When an athlete competes in a race, he must keep his focus on the goal:  finishing the race and obtaining the prize.  During the race, the athlete must not allow himself to become distracted by the yells or applause of the crowd.  Just like the athlete, we must press through by keeping our minds on Jesus and not be swayed by the circumstances we face; they are but temporary.  In this race, we must press through because the weight of the glory exceeds our sufferings.  Therefore, let us hold on to Him who started the race, finished the race, and is the controller of the race.

Sept 23 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  HOLINESS IN TRYING TIMES

Sept 23 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  HOLINESS IN TRYING TIMES

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Though we are not physically in our church building, we remain the Church of God through the Holy Ghost everywhere we go.  We have both the privilege and responsibility to glorify God through holy, pure and clean living before Him.  We are reminded in the scriptures to remain prayerful, to fast and worship God for He is our Creator.  Be encouraged today to continue in the teaching of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and stay connected in these difficult times.  Let us honor the Lord through our faith in Him.

Sept 22 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  IN THE MIDST OF THE PANDEMIC

Sept 22 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  IN THE MIDST OF THE PANDEMIC

Genesis 22:14  “And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:  so they went both of them together.”

Without the option of working from home, I went from working 40 hours a week to now working 40 hours every other week as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.  Despite the cut in hours and bills that continue, I received a raise on my job and still full-time pay in the midst of this pandemic!  Today, I want to encourage someone whose source seems all but dried up.  Connect again with our great God-the true power source-through prayer, fasting, and reading His Word.  Let Him show you again that He remains your Provider!

Sept 21 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  IS YOUR EAR TUNED?

Sept 21 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  IS YOUR EAR TUNED?

Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”

The pandemic has propelled us into a tumultuous and chaotic season.  Many voices are proclaiming what God would have His people do!  John stated in Revelation 3:22, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”  The voice will not be in a boisterous wind, or in a violent shaking of the earth, or in a blazing fire out of control, but it will be a still small voice!  What do you hear?

Sept 20 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  I GOT THE POWER

Sept 20 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  I GOT THE POWER

2 Timothy 3:13-15 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.  But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”

As saints of God, our power source doesn’t come from lifting weights or excessively training and exercising.  It doesn’t come from a drug, steroid, or even having a balanced diet.  This power source comes from the infilling of the Holy Ghost (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 2:38) coupled with faith in God’s Word to grow thereby.  With this power, we walk in the wisdom of God, speaking life to situations, and having victory over all things.  Let us recognize this power that we have and make this declaration each morning, “WE GOT THE POWER!!!”

Sept 19 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  SPREADING THE GOOD NEWS

Sept 19 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  SPREADING THE GOOD NEWS

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Just before ascending to the Father in Heaven, the Lord Jesus commissioned his disciples to go and teach all nations.  As he promised his disciples, the Lord has promised us that no matter what difficult life circumstances we face, he would never leave us nor forsake us.  We are blood washed; we are more than a conqueror.  We have someone pouring strength, wisdom, and peace over our lives.  I pray that we never lose sight of this reality that we are truly loved by our Heavenly Father.

Sept 18 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  DON’T GIVE UP, HE’S COMING BACK SOON

Sept 18 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  DON’T GIVE UP, HE’S COMING BACK SOON

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

We can see clearly now that the coming of the Lord is near.  Never before have we witnessed a virus that has literally shut down so many activities and freedoms that we have come to enjoy.  All these things let us know that Jesus is coming back. Now, more than ever, the saints of God should stay connected to the power source. Let us remain connected to Him (the Ultimate Power) by staying full of the Holy Ghost, watching, praying, fasting, reading the Word of God and seeking His face every day.
