Sept 17 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  OUR DUTY AS SERVANTS OF GOD

Sept 17 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  OUR DUTY AS SERVANTS OF GOD

I Peter 2:1-3 “Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:  If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.”

Father, thank you for your unspeakable goodness, kindness, and the great sacrifice you made for us.  As we step out today, flood our minds with your guidance and your wisdom.  Help us to focus on your goodness and to see the good in others.  Let us thirst for your pure Word that we may obey and conform to your image.  May we forever have appetites to stay connected to you O God, our power source-Amen.

Sept 16 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  GUARDING THE CONNECTION

Sept 16 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  GUARDING THE CONNECTION

Proverbs 3:1-2 “My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:  For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.”

God is calling for us to guard or watch over our hearts to protect, control, and maintain a connection with Him.  What we consume is important and should be continuously examined.  During this examination, ask yourself: will consuming this protect my heart and will this allow God to be in control of my life?  Ultimately, guarding our hearts is crucial to our spiritual survival because we need a clean heart in order to maintain connection to our source, Jesus Christ.  A clean heart leads to a clear, strong, and secure connection.

Sept 15 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: HIS POWER IS THE REAL DEAL

Sept 15 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: HIS POWER IS THE REAL DEAL

John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

I was disappointed and felt put off when my Daddy stopped repairing my car to make repairs for my sister. That Friday, I decided I had the power (Acts 1:8) to ask “The Father” to fix mine. Thinking about the parable of the mustard seed, I laid hands on my car, commanded it to start in the name of Jesus, then DROVE it to work. Upon returning home, I found out that the car should not have started or moved because of the parts and tools my dad had removed, disconnected, and left under the car!  When you ask, BELIEVE and TRUST in the Power of God because it is real and it WORKS!

Sept 14 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: PRAYER IS THE ANSWER

Sept 14 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: PRAYER IS THE ANSWER

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ made it possible for us to go boldly unto the throne of grace when He sacrificed His life on the Cross. He made it easy to stay connected to Him when we kneel and surrender ourselves to Him; He will come to our rescue.  1 Peter 3:12 says, “For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers.”  Saints, we shall not fear in this current situation (Pandemic/COVID-19); let’s just stay connected to the Power Source (JESUS).  Luke 18:1 states, “that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”

Sept 13 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: STAY PLUGGED

Sept 13 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: STAY PLUGGED

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

Electrical outlets are full of power, but they are just holes in the wall until they are used; they are sources of untapped power.  The Word of God is FULL of POWER (POWERFUL) Heb 4:12 and is useful for all aspects of our lives, leading to perfection (2 Tim 3:16-17).  The Word of God will not benefit us unless we tap into its POWER.  We tap into the Word of God by reading, studying, meditating, praying, and obeying the Word of God.  So, stay plugged into the Word of God.

Sept 12 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: COMPLETELY DIE, TO BE FULLY RECHARGED IN HIM!!

Sept 12 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: COMPLETELY DIE, TO BE FULLY RECHARGED IN HIM!!

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

Day 5, lying in the hospital with COVID-19 and pneumonia, I’ve cried so much; these challenges and distractions almost caused me to forget in whom I abide. The enemy wants us to believe that challenges are placed in our path to hurt us so that we disconnect from the main source of life.  But God allows these circumstances to come so that we can completely die of ourselves and our wills in order to see the salvation of the Lord!  How can we be assured that our hope, our healing, our deliverance, our joy, our peace, our POWER, etc. remain in Him?  We’ve got to ABIDE in the Power Source because without Him, we can do NOTHING!

Sept 11 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: HAVE YOU BECOME UNPLUGGED?

Sept 11 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: HAVE YOU BECOME UNPLUGGED?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

When we are baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Ghost, we are then connected to God and the power that gives us strength to love people who do not show love and respect in return.  This power helps us to be patient, kind, and forgiving towards one another!  We must rely on and operate out of the Spirit’s Power to have lives that are pleasing to God, be effective vessels, and be rooted and grounded through the power of the Holy Spirit.  God always allows difficult situations in our lives to reveal a power source lag.  So, we must plug into God daily in order to remain strong and fully charged in Him!

Sept 10 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: GOD’S UNFAILING POWER

Sept 10 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: GOD’S UNFAILING POWER

Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”

This verse encourages us to depend on the Lord’s strength and mighty power. What we’re witnessing now in our homes, communities, and nations are a reminder of how much we should depend on Him for everything.  Even the small things are big now.  Ephesians 6:11 follows with instructions on how to put verse 10 into action.  Wearing the whole armour of God allows us to successfully stand strong amidst the strategies, deceits, darts, tricks, distractions, and wiles of the enemy!

Sept 9 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: SANCTIFIED AND SATURATED WITH POWER FROM GOD

Sept 9 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE: SANCTIFIED AND SATURATED WITH POWER FROM GOD

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

“Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” (Acts 19:2).  Believers are sons with signs following.  Saints, stay hungry for God.  Matthew 5:6 states, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled.” Stay in God’s face daily and expect God to do the impossible. Keep yourself in the love of God, praying in the HOLY GHOST!!

Sept 8 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  ARE WE PLUGGED INTO THE RIGHT SOURCE?  OUR HOPE AND HELP IS IN THE LORD

Sept 8 ~ STAYING CONNECTED TO THE POWER SOURCE:  ARE WE PLUGGED INTO THE RIGHT SOURCE?  OUR HOPE AND HELP IS IN THE LORD

Romans 15:4 “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.”

Hope is the desire for something good in the future or the expectation of something positive or a positive outcome.  Over a century ago our ancestors had hope just as we do today.  They hoped for a better life, for a pandemic to get better, for God to save the land, and for slavery and racism to end.  Today, we must stay plugged into the right source (power socket) by praying, fasting, and trusting God, our only power source, to get through this day and time in which we live.  There’s no time to relax, but the time is now to strengthen our connection to the power source by standing on God’s Word.
